Path: Endogenous lipoid pneumonia (phospholipidosis)

Endogenous lipoid pneumonia can be noted in resident (pneumocytes, histiocytes) and/or sessile (macrophages) cells of the lung. Macrophages will usually show the most distinctive phospholipidotic changes. See also XIXf
