Organomercurials are supertoxicants that mainly target the brain and cerebellum, not the lung. They are liste here to avoid unecessary exposure that can be fatal. Any vial containing such products must be handled by specialized personel. Organomercurials can cross latex gloves and penetrate the dermis, sometimes causing irreversible and ultimately fatal cerebellar dysfunction and death within a few months (PMID 9614528)
